The start of a painting I'm working on for a friend. He wanted a Pegasus painting for his father's birthday. This (above) is my attempt of "mythical" subject-matter while trying to steer it far from the Lisa Frank-direction, haha. No offense John, it's just hard to make something of this subject-matter "cool"....
Yuck, see? I rest my case, haha. Background suggestions welcome.

Pegasus is off to a strong start!
Keep the background simple.
Maybe dark purples and blues with a few yellow dots to suggest stars.
Can't wait to see how the finished piece looks!
