Productive Work day:

I just saw a link today to Curiosity Group that took me to their monthly paper craft calendars. If there's one thing I love it's paper toys so I was very excited to find these. I made the July calendar today for my desk at work:

That was a lot of work, I should probably call it a day and go home, right?

Wedding design-Bring on more!

I have posted a lot of these earlier on this blog, but here's a little compilation of most of the handmade items I made/designed for my sister's wedding that happened this past weekend. Clockwise from top left: Invitation suite, personalized wire hanger showing my sister's new last name, bridal shower Bingo game, Reply card (part of invite suite), Bridal shower banner, and program "fans" and table numbers at ceremony. I really enjoyed making all these things and keeping with a theme for my sister, so any of you with upcoming weddings, I'd love to take on more work!
(And obviously as soon as my sister's beautiful professional photos go up, I'll be sure to post some here as well)

One Zin in person

I've been out of town for the past week, so I'm catching up with my blog posts. While I was home, my sister showed me the earrings she's been wearing to promote her etsy shop, One Zin Sister. I ordered an Uncommon case for my brother that I designed out of his own illustration to make it into a crazy funky case for his iphone. It turned out great, Uncommon is so quick and the cases look great. Here's the two I've ordered so far, a custom-made one and just a pretty one for myself.

This morning I ordered a really really pretty iphone case from Uncommon. Then I realized what I should have done was upload my own design and make one like this:

Rebuilding Exchange Postcard

Here's a postcard for the ReBuilding exchange I just finished. You should definitely check this place out, especially if you're into fixing up things or looking to build/remodel a house. It has all sorts of appliances, old tables, light fixtures, cabinets, wood...etc all salvaged from old homes. It's a really neat space and even cooler idea.
