For no other reason than...

...being very bored at work:

What's next?

I took a sick day yesterday because... well I was sick, and this is what I did in my spare time. I am working on a series of three of these guys, but I am stuck now. It didn't turn out exactly how I pictured, and it needs something else. Suggestions, now.

Yeah Yeah Yeah's

Saw Yeah Yeah Yeah's at Aragon Ballroom last night. Good show, glad I went even though I was feeling super sick all day. Click to enlarge some shots of the lovely Karen O.

new series: Semi-awkward men with glasses.

I started stenciling some portraits for perhaps a new series this weekend... turns out all the portraits I started on were of kind of awkward looking men with big glasses. Me likey.

I think I am also going to start churning out a lot of multiples because I plan on eventually gathering up a lot of prints of my stuff (old and new) and having a big "sale"... whether I make it to a craft fair/etsy it/ or I set up a table in the living room and invite the only people I know in chicago over. More to come on that later.

What Madea movie should never be made?

On the other side of my office, acquisitions likes to post questions on their whiteboard, like the one above, and see what responses people put up. This is my favorite question by far, and therefore I chose to illustrate a movie poster to go along with it.
So I chose: Madea Floats hahaha.
Dirty Madea, Havana Nights was a close second.

Maybe cool....maybe not.

The only thing I've made at work that I am semi-proud of:

Just because I love my owl and they actually let me illustrate!

BTW

I really like checking this girl's blog. She takes a photo of what she's wearing every day, wish I could put as much effort into my outfits as she does: homerunballerina.blogspot.com

Blading

Sunday was the Chicago Walk N Roll "walk" for American Cancer Society. My roommate and her co-workers always do races and things like this for their company, but I decided I wanted to get in on this one because it was a 10-mile rollerblade, and rollerblading is da bomb. Mind you I had not "bladed" since... oh probably 8th grade, but I brought my old pair (with multi-colored wheels, yes) up to Chicago with me.
It was a lot of fun actually, it went from Grant park down by the lake. We had such a nice day too, I even got some color on my face. It took me an hour an 5 minutes to do the whole thing, and I was trekking pretty much the whole time, and the only hills in Chicago were all on that course on the way back, needless to say, I am sore today.

and of course:

PIL shenanigans

There are a few things about my job that make me like it, one is this:
I came into work this friday morning and found this tacked above my computer. It's my co-worker, Travis, (who faces me but on the other side of my cubicle wall) as if our wall was not there. Haha. I think I'll keep it up there for a while.

Question:

What could be dancing on Hitchcock's cigar?

Whoaa

I didn't realize I had done so many already... click to enlarge.

These are so funny all together. You can also tell which one's I actually cared about and the others I didn't, and also here's a screenshot of how these are all used in this crazy book.

our new club at work

Yeahhh and it's thursday today.  I really need some more projects to do at work instead of doing things like this:

You've been DAYTROTTED

Here you go. Young Man Carbuncular has it's very own "daytrotter"-like illustration. This just might be my new favorite style of illustrating. I'm no Johnnie Cluney, but I like it!

Clockwise from Top: Gage, Tyler, Ian, Garrett (bro), and Brady (center)

Why's Lithgow so mad..

...Did someone run over a manatee with their boat?
So I have this thought... I'm thinking of making an illustrated blog about John Lithgow, yes I think I will.

Just like 'Rookie of the Year' haha

Last night I went to my first cubs game! I'm not really a cubs fan, nor do I think I will really become real fan (not that I don't like them, I just am not a fan of anyone, not sox), but I got to go to my first game last night after work. We live so close to wrigley, we really should have been to one before now. Now I just need to get some cubs related apparel, my royal blue v-neck from American Apparel can only last for so many games. Oh and cubs lost.
