My art teacher from high school is putting on this project where she has her students paint portraits of kids in Dharamsala, India and then send it back to the kids. My mom ran into her recently and got me the information to do one, now that she is extending the project to outside her classroom. Read the article HERE.
I'm excited and will post more when I get a portrait and more info! I just wish I could go to India as well.

You should definitely do this! Hope some other people find this through your blog and volunteer to do it too. I would... but the poor kid who would get my portrait would be sorely disappointed.
Our mother adamantly stalks me on the internet and got mad over my last comment, thus I must never use the internet again and destroy all means of communication with any member of my family now. Good bye.
