My project for the weekend...

There's a really cool flickr set called "The items we carry" that I came across recently. It shows people and the contents of their purses or bags. So I thought I'd make one of my own, because you all really wanted to know (minus the artsy picture of myself looking elsewhere that goes on the top). 

+ phone but I took the photo with camera phone.... I really don't carry that much. 

I'm a finalist!

Hey look– I'm in the top 30 again this year! Judging for winner will be on June 3rd at the Harold Washington Library. Fingers crossed. My design is here .

LOST finale

Went over to Tess' for the series finale of LOST. Brought some Dharma beer (with each beer individually wrapped) and Daniel Faraday cookies, haha....Faraday. We also had Mr. Cluck's chicken, and delicious fish tacos.  Still contemplating the end of the series. I liked it but....still confused/unsatisfied. 

What I did today...

At work, I'm drawing again for books other people are working on. Irish coffee and an almost finished James Brown. Lol. Makes the day go by fast at least.

Hehe, this sort of made my morning a little better. 

She's done!

Finally got the chance to finish and stencil the black parts of Haydn's painting. As I was spray-painting in my alley I got a few compliments from strangers walking by, haha. Guess that's one way to advertise. I really like it, but I wish I hadn't had added the black lines around the triangles (2nd photo). May go back and go over them. Why I ever think I can make straight precise lines with a paint brush again and again is beyond me. She'll be in the mail this weekend Haydn!

Seattle prints:

Really horrible photo of the two 18 x 24 prints I'm sending off to a family member in Seattle. There's also a different colored 8 x 10 in the package as well. 

Daniel Faraday cookies:

I know you all know this already, but this sunday is the SERIES FINALE of LOST. So I'm going to a friends house and we're bringing LOST related snacks. My plan so far, beers wrapped in "Dharma Initiative" labels, and Daniel Faraday shaped cookies, haha. We'll see how it goes.

True story: This is the only way I can pack

I'm heading to Boston tomorrow night for a fun weekend, and this is seriously the only way I can pack. I have to draw out every outfit including shoes and accessory options. It helps narrow down just what you need. It's also fun to color  them with highlighters at work. See you tomorrow Boston!

New Bike!

Last night I finally got my "new" bike. It's an older bike of Mickey's thats too small for him, so he lowered the seat, wrapped new handlebars and I cleaned it up. Now she's all mine. Never rode fixed gear before but it's a lot easier than I imagined it to be. It's so much nicer than my old bike and sooo much lighter. Moving my old bike out of the way last night felt like I was trying to move a car. Pretty excited to have her for summer :).

Charge: Aggravated battery. He was arrested in October 2009 for beating a man with his shoe so violently the man suffered blunt force trauma to his head and was hospitalized. The assault came after the victim made what *Cornel* considered to be inappropriate comments toward *Cornel's* girlfriend.
